ABOUT PACO AND THE POPPING PEPPERS
It’s time for fiesta in this topnotch quality title with beautiful animations and matching soundtrack. Welcome to an old town south of the border stricken with poverty and depression. There you will be greeted by Paco and his colourful vegetable stand.
This game is Mexico to the max, with scenery dominated by sombreros, pinatas, red hot chilli peppers, a bottle of tequila and a guitar. Paco will be there to keep you company and remind you to hurry up, if necessary, or he’ll put a smile on your face by making a funny remark. The most important things is you will not be bored and you’ll have the opportunity to earn payouts.
All in all, a very fun and appealing video slot with many rewards and prizes, as well as bonuses that require a bit of skill and a bit of luck to play.
HOW TO PLAY
Ever seen a dancing pepper? Well, here is your chance. The main screen is set on the Paco’s stand with cute animations of all the vegetables, which are also the game’s main symbols. Land three or more to start getting payouts. The Donkey Piñata is the Wild, substituting for all other symbols except the Scatter. The Hut is the Scatter and if landed three or more the game’s Bonus round will be activated.
This 2011 release is a five-reels video slot with 30 adjustable paylines. The coin denomination can range from $0.02 to $0.50 while the wager goes from $1 to a maximum of $30. There is an Auto Play feature, with various options including the number of active paylines, coin value and number of played spins.
There is a multiplier in the main game which is triggered by popping the symbols on the reels. A pop causes symbols from above to fall down into empty places, which increases the multiplier up to 10x.
Malta-based BetSoft offers only one special feature, though very entertaining but, unfortunately, gives no Free Spins round. Although the game was released back in 2011, it doesn’t have a mobile version. We say this with regret since such an amusing title would certainly be appealing to play on the go and possibly learn a word or two in Spanish.
Land three or more Hut Scatter symbols to activate the Fiesta Bonus feature. A new screen will open, with the scenery set in a beach bar where you will have the chance to increase your win in “higher or lower” game.
The rules are simple: a card will be drawn and you’ll have to guess whether the next one will be higher or lower. You have a maximum of 10 rounds to enlarge your payout, but be careful what you choose because if you miss three times the fiesta is over.
Hut Scatter is used to trigger the main bonus game and you need three of those anywhere on the screen to gain entry into the Fiesta Bonus.
Five Donkey Piñata Wilds landed gives $500 but this amount can be up to 10 times higher if the multiplier is on maximum. Apart from the Wild, the highest paying symbols are the Pineapple ($200), the Tomato ($150) and the Coconut ($100).
