BetVictor Player Lands Massive Payout on £5 Bet
- December 22, 2016 By Nemanja L. -
A BetVictor customer will be able to celebrate Christmas in style after he won over £223,000 thanks to a 20-fold football accumulator last weekend.
The 26-year-old probably couldn’t dream about winning when he placed £5 on no fewer than 20 football matches, but Lady Luck offered a big smile to help him land a staggering amount of money.
The lucky punter was originally supposed to win just over £207,500, but he received additional £15,405.14 thanks to BetVictor’s Price Promise promotion.
Advertising their prices as the best in the business, the UK firm offers customers a chance to secure extra winnings if it turns out they would have won more betting with a competitor’s website.
The first selection of the bet was played in midweek and it was Tottenham’s win from behind over Burnley that ultimately secured the player the bumper pay off.
The interesting thing is that quite a few of selections on the accumulator appeared to be losing with the games going into the final stage, only to miraculously turn into correct predictions.
Four Late Goals Make the Difference
Even before Tottenham produced a comeback against Burnley, the bet could have gone the other way if it hand’t been for some very late goals in the Championship.
The punter saw Reading win at Blackburn thanks to an injury time goal, Leeds United score a winner in 89th minute and Brighton do the same in 95th, while Sheffield Wednesday won thanks to a controversial penalty in fourth minute of extra time.
Everyone will tell you that you need luck if you are to land accumulators with five or more selections and to land a 20-fold accumulator thanks to four late goals, that is truly something else.
This just goes to show that you don’t have to invest a lot of money to secure life-changing payouts, although, in all fairness, this is one coup that will not be repeated any time soon.
