The Seneca Nation of Indians have decided via a vote, to not make payments to the state of New York. Their reasoning? They claim that the state is in violation of the gambling agreement the two parties made in 2001.

The tribe has stated that they will keep exclusivity payments for the foreseeable future because gambling operations recently allowed by the state may cut into their profits. The specific casinos reportedly in breech of contract are the Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack, Hamburg Casino at the Fairgrounds and Batavia Downs Casino.
