It looks like Singapore might be the next, internet-based gambling capital of the world. According to the experts, online gambling is ready to take off in a major way in the country. Many people believe that Singapore is set to become the Asian center for internet-based gambling. Some say that it could even surpass, America’s land-based, gambling center, Las Vegas (when online gambling becomes legal in the U.S.).

Singapore has a number of things going for it. Largely, corruption is not a problem. Therefore, licensing and regulation should be fairly easy to handle. There should be few worries about doling out licenses and regulating online gambling websites which seek to service the country’s citizens.

Some believe that the revenue from Asian-based gambling (both online and offline) could reach nearly $80 billion, with Singapore posed to earn a fairly substantial amount of that figure.
