Can individuals who patronize tribal casinos play poker online legally? According to the Atlantis Internet Group they can. Supposedly, gamblers in 30 states will have the privilege of doing so. Supposedly IG has signed an agreement with Cake Gaming NV. This group makes it possible for tribal groups to legally offer online gambling. “This revolutionary technology will allow tribal casinos to offer a form of Internet poker across state lines,” a spokesman for Atlantis said this week.

Online tribal gambling may be possible because the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act), made exemptions for Tribal casinos and allowed Intertribal internet gaming for states that pass laws which legalize intrastate internet gambling.

“Our Indian version of the CGN, called the ‘Tribal Gaming Network’ offers an immediate and legal solution to Indian casinos nationwide, providing the largest online poker network in the U.S. This is a significant milestone for ATIG and Cake, and will become an immediate economic shot in the arm for tribes and states facing deficits nationwide,” according to Donald L. Bailey, the CEO of Atlantis.
