U.S. Bar Owner Pleads Guilty To Online Gambling Ring
July 30, 2010 - by CasinoNews · Filed Under News Leave a Comment
Patrick Patte Jr., age 71, pleaded guilty to an “illegal gambling charge of transmitting wagering information using wire communications.” This differs from what he was originally charged with, conspiracy. The documents have been sealed by the judge so there is no way to know exactly what type of punishment Patte will face. The bar would distribute wins and accept losses on bets made over the internet.
Two other men charged with participating in the gambling ring, Christopher Marion and Mark G. Fino have had their records sealed as well. These two gentlemen strike a plea deal as well.
