More trouble for the Canadian online gambling website owned and operated by the British Columbian Lottery Corporation. Rumor has it that the group has been leading private user information from the popular website. This reportedly was not done on purpose but because the BC Lottery Corporation hasn’t done a good enough job of protecting the site. First the website was forced to shut down due to too much traffic and now, it looks like Playnow.com has been hacked.

The BC Minister of Housing and Social Development, Mr. Rich Coleman, speaking the complaints of leaked information had this to say, “It does appear that some information… because of all the data hitting at once … might have been displayed on somebody’s computer, so we are dealing with that,” Shane Simpson, the NDP critic for Housing and Social Development speaking to a reporter at the Vancouver Sun newspaper said, “Experts have made assertions that hacking was a possibility,” he added, “But the most concerning thing is that the government and BCLC has not been definitive that there wasn’t some kind of activity that breached the security of the site.”
