Yellow Brick Road Casino Set to Open in Chittenango, New York

New casino opening, crowds cannot wait!

Yellow Brick Road Casino, themed for the classic movie, Wizard of Oz, is set to open in New York. There are people working twenty-four hours a day, to add finishing touches to the $20 million casino. Yellow brick road will lead you there, brick like yellow tiles continue inside, and carpeting that is poppy-splashed throughout. To bring attention to the Oneida Nation’s newest casino opening, a flying witch, remotely controlled will be flying in different spots in the Syracuse area. The witch has been seen near Destiny USA Mall, in Syracuse, N.Y.
This casino will be located in Chittenango, on West Genesee St. Located just twenty miles from Turning Stone Casino, in which is also operated by The Oneida Nation. This new casino is 67 thousand square feet, and employing 250 people. There is approximately 450 slots, keno lounge, and bingo hall that seats 500 people. On one level will be the gaming areas. There is a patio out back, for smoking. There will also be several restaurants and bars. Some of their names include:

• Heart and Courage Saloon
• Winged Monkey-corner bar that has stations for video poker built into counters
• Dorothy’s Farmhouse-restaurant that is counter served
• Wicked Good Pizza-take out and sit down pizza place

In the center of Yellow Brick Road Casino, is a centerpiece with the name “Cyclone of Cash.” This stands 16 feet, and is brass and steel. Patrons will have the chance of going inside the cyclone, pull the cord and prizes and money will spin inside the cyclone, for the patrons to catch.
Throughout the casinos gaming parlor besides the slot machines, will be self-serve coffee, soda and juice machines. There is beverage service also for people with that preference.
Ray Halbritter, representative and chief executive officer for Oneida Nation states, “This is a convenient, local, fun place to come relax and enjoy, and the Oz theme really adds to the flavor and atmosphere of this region.” He says the new casino is aimed to be easier to get to and more casual than Turning Stone Casino.
