MGM Launching the Strip’s First eSports Venue

One of the leaders in the US entertainment and hospitality industry, MGM Resorts, is showing more and more interest in eSports, and the latest partnership with Allied Esports and Esports Arena is another proof of it.
MGM Resorts will benefit from the experience and know-how these two have in eSports, in order to finalize the plans of opening a dedicated esports venue at Luxor Hotel and Casino, located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In less than a year from now, the famous Las Vegas Strip will have its first permanent esports venue, thanks to the new Esports Arena. Sin City will become the center of a large global network of esports venues.
The new Esports Arena will undoubtedly become a leading esports venue, not only in North America, but on a global scale.
Jud Hannigan, Allied Esports CEO, said the company’s final goal would be to develop a venue which would have an iconic status among the eSports fans and players, a gathering place for competitors from all over the world.
The work to transform a 30,000 square-foot nightclub into a high-end multi-level eSport arena, is currently in progress. When complete, the arena will have a competition stage, LED video wall, gaming stations, food and beverage stands, streaming and production studios, and much more.
The arena will have the capacity to host top-league tournaments and other events, offering high-quality and unique gaming and fan experience.
Esports Arena Offers Only the Best
Since its launch in 2015, the Esports Arena has become a true leader in eSports, offering various events, attracting developers, sponsors and large number of players, reaching millions of viewers via live broadcasts. The brand is rapidly expanding, while the latest venue – Esports Arena Oakland, will be opened by the end of the year.
