Microgaming’s Village People® Macho Moves Is Finally Here and It Is Perfect!
- June 26, 2019 By Oliver Young -
When Microgaming announces a new slot release, that slot is highly anticipated by all of its fans. The leading developer hinted the release of 6 new games at this year’s ICE, many of which have already been launched. However, players were really looking forward to the release of Village People® Macho Moves, and the slot is finally here!
Village People® Macho Moves is the impeccable 6-reel, 15-payline slot inspired by the legendary disco band from the 70s, which will take you back to the times when the dance floor was the only place you needed to be. In collaboration with Can’t Stop Productions, the slot was developed by Fortune Factory Studios exclusively for Microgaming. Village People® Macho Moves is available as of now at all Microgaming-powered online casinos, to you into the groove!
A Gameplay Fitting the Iconic Theme Perfectly
When you get to the dance floor, you will see the VP Jukebox on your left, playing the timeless hits by Village People Y.M.C.A, Can’t Stop the Music, Go West, Macho Man and The Navy, setting the tone of the slot. On the stage, you’re accompanied by the flamboyant, fully-animated characters, the Cowboy, the Sailor, the Native, the Construction Worker, the Cop and the Biker, and on the reels, you see the lowest-paying card suits and the highest-paying retro glasses, vintage platform shoes, classic vinyl, cassettes, and a golden mic. The mirror Disco Ball is the Wild, which transforms into a VP Wild Token that will help you trigger the key bonus game.
The Expanding Wild can fully cover Wild Reels, and reward you with a VP Wild Token that gets added to the Reel Meter above the reel it lands. When you fill a Reel Meter with 5 Tokens, depending on which reel, you activate the Free Spins with the Macho Move bonus, which comes with one unique Macho Move feature.
The Biker character comes with Symbol Upgrades and replaces the low-value symbols with the high-value ones on every spin. The Construction Worker comes with 2x to 20x Multiplier awarded prior to each spin. The Native comes with Walking Wild Reels, placing Wild Reels on reels 5 and 6 which then walk one reel to the left on each spin. The Cowboy comes with Random Wilds, 2 to 12 in fact, before each spin begins. The Cop, on the other hand, brings 2 to 4 Wild Reels at random positions on each spin. The Sailor places 1 to 3 Locking Wilds at random which are stay on the reels for the rest of the Spins.
Statements by Fortune Factory Studios and Microgaming
Jean-Luc Ferriere, Microgaming’s Chief Commercial Officer, commented that the game was brilliantly designed, bringing the visuals and sounds of the legendary band onto the reels. The game, as he said, presented all the great stuff about the band, including its timeless songs and the six animated band members. Ferriere praised Fortune Factory Studios on their work, stating that they had surpassed themselves in the development of this feature-rich branded slot with a staggering payout potential and masterful appeal.
Phelan Sykes, the Head of Game Production at Fortune Factory Studios, was also satisfied with the final product, saying that it was a really inspiring prospect the creation of a slot based on the ever-lasting band. They gave players the chance to listen to the band’s music while they are playing the highly-rewarding slot that can deliver up to 5,845x the stake max win.
