NetEnt Launches the Sequel to the Popular Hotline Slot
- August 27, 2020 By Riley Wilson -
Swedish online gambling giant NetEnt has recently announced the launch of its latest video slot.
The new game is titled Hotline 2 and represents the sequel to the developer’s popular Hotline release, which hit the market last year.
The fresh launch brings familiar looks and feels, and more exciting playing experience with many opportunities to win.
Staying True to the Original
Hotline 2 is played on a standard reel set with five reels and three rows, while instead of traditional paylines it offers 243 different ways to win in the Main Game. In the bonus feature, this number rises to 1,944.
The game design has remained virtually the same. Since the original game was very popular, developers at NetEnt didn’t want to change much. They did add more colour, in addition to new cars and glitzy jewellery. The three main characters once again appear on the reels.
The catchy soundtrack from the first title was kept, and we don’t think anyone will complain.
Bigger Wins on Offer
And while the original title featured traditional paylines, the sequel brought the popular Ways to Win mechanic. As we’ve mentioned, the number of ways to win in the Main Game is set at 243.
Once the reels start spinning, players will be able to choose one, two or three active lines, while every time a Wild lands on an active reel, it will expand to offer bigger payouts.
During the bonus round, Wild landing on active lines will not only expand but also increase the height of the reel, going up to six symbols. This, in turn, leads to an increase in the number of ways to win, to 1,944! When the reel is at its full height, players will receive one or two free spins.
The game allows punters to buy the bonus feature, instead of waiting for it to be triggered. They can choose from three available bonuses. They will pay 20x, 40x, 60x the bet to turn one, two, or all three reels active.
Hotline 2 has already hit the market and can be played at any online casino powered by NetEnt.
