Playtech Ready To Enter Portuguese Market

Isle of Man-based supplier of online casino games and sports betting software Playtech has announced the latest deal which will see the company expand its presence on the regulated market of Portugal.

Under the provisions of the latest partnership, Playtech will supply the largest Portuguese online gaming and betting operators Sociedade de Apostas Sociais (SAS) with its state-of-the-art IMS player management platform, along with the new sportsbook products.

Bringing An Extensive Offer

Since the gaming and betting market in Portugal was regulated in 2016, this is the first launch of such an extensive range of online content. SAS will soon start the integration of Playtech’s IMS platform and single wallet option into SAS operation, and in no time the entire online offering of this operator will be powered by Playtech. SAS players can also look forward to an enhanced online and mobile sportsbook platform offering an unprecedented experience.

Thanks to the new integrated solution for both desktop and mobile, SAS players will be able to seamlessly bet at home or on the go. The Playtech BGT Sports (PBS) digital offering is focused on simplicity and will, without a doubt, satisfy the needs of all online players.

Online solutions that PBS brings makes betting a lot easier since it allows players to quickly find their favorite sports teams or leagues, which in turn creates a more entertaining and engaging experience.

According to available information, the new SAS’ PBS-powered sportsbook will go live in the coming period, with an exclusive offering for both online and mobile.

An Important Move

Commenting on this important move, Playtech’s Chief Operating Officer Shimon Akad said that new and emerging markets were a key part of the company’s growth strategy. Akad added Portugal was a significant territory in that growth plan, and therefore Playtech was delighted to have agreed on terms with SAS and to be integrating two core elements of the Playtech offering beginning with IMS and sportsbook.
