Surprise Exits At This Years WSOP Final

Four surprise eliminations occurred recently in this year’s 2010 WSOP.  There are only 13 players still in contention to win the WSOP Main Event tournament. Hasan Habib and Matt Affleck played themselves out of the tournament. Matt Affleck went out in 15th place. For his efforts, he took home $500,165, an impressive amount by anyone’s standards. “Don’t have any words to explain what just happened,” Affleck said on Twitter after being eliminated.

Habib, a former gold bracelet winner was also eliminated. A highly skilled playar, Habib finished in fourth place at the 2000 WSOP Main Event. Habib won $500,000 for his efforts. Nine players have the opportunity to participate in the finals. Those nine will play themselves in or play themselves out of the tournament.
