NetEnt’s Newest Grown-Up Superheroes vs Villain Slot Arcane Reel Chaos Is Here!
- May 22, 2019 By Oliver Young -
Following the long-awaited Dead or Alive 2 slot’s release last month, the industry’s leader has launched an incredibly creepy, dark slot called Arcane Reel Chaos, based on the popular theme of superheroes vs villains. Get ready to fight the evil villain and become your own hero with the payout you receive for your troubles!
Enter the Dark World
You’re used to games with light, fun and charming narratives, presented with childish, cartoony graphics and hilarious details, but NetEnt is here to freshen things up and give you the chills from time to time. Arcane Reel Chaos is your entirely dark slot, from visual presentation to story. It tells you the narrative of the businessman Don Parker, who while trying to save his business from falling apart, gets cursed and transforms into the villainous Deep Pockets.
Deep Pockets is the villain in the slot, and the four superheroes Flare, Zero.x, Chronos and Psyop are fighting him but at the same time trying to him and bring him back to his normal state. Each of the superheroes has its own superpower that will immensely help you during the gameplay. As you pass through the dim-lighted old cathedral, you will see the lowest-paying playing card symbols, the high-value superheroes and the highest-paying Deep Pockets villain. Then, you see the standard Wild symbol and the ominous-looking Scatter. The Scatter represents the curse that turned Don Parker into Deep Pockets, an orange gem surrounded by a serpent.
At any point of the base game, any of the four superheroes can randomly appear, along with their superpowers. Flare comes with a Multiplier 3x, 4x or 5x superpower, while Zero.x bears Overlay Wilds (3 to 5 Wilds are added to the reels). Chrono’s superpower is stopping time, rewarding you with a Re-Spin after each non-winning spin, right until you get a winning one, and increasing the Multiplier by 1x up to 10x. Psyop, however, adds 2 to 3 fully Stacked Wilds on the reels.
4-Level Free Spins Bonus Game
When you land 3 Scatter symbols on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reel you trigger the Free Spins bonus, but instead of normal spins, you see the superheroes fight the villain in up to 4 levels. On 1st Level, Deep Pockets has 1x Multiplier and 2 health points, on 2nd Level 2x Multiplier and 4 health points, on 3rd Level 3x Multiplier and 5 health points and on 4th Level 4x Multiplier and 6 health points.
The superheroes, on the other hand, come with 1x Multiplier and 6 health points on 1st Level, and each time they defeat the villain their Multiplier and health points increase by 1. On a non-winning spin, though, their health meter decreases. Deep Pockets’ health bar always decreases and can never increase, so in reality, the heroes have better chances of defeating him. Either way, regardless of whether the heroes’ or villain’s health meter reaches zero, the Free Spins feature ends. If you pass the final, the 4th level, you get a 10x the stake bonus for the health points that you have remaining. In the end, you should finish with a 1,212.5x the stake payout, if all goes well. The game offers the average 96.81% Return to Player percentage, so you’re good to go and try it!
