Ozzy Ozbourne and Conan to Star in New Slots from NetEnt

Things are moving lightning fast for NetEnt – one of the biggest casino software providers online – as the Swedish game studio is preparing to launch two new titles this year, not long after already announcing an impressive roster of slot machines. Riding the wave of popularity of licensed slots that hit the online casino industry in recent years, the game provider will be releasing two new licensed games, one that celebrates heavy metal icon Ozzy Ozbourne and another that pays homage to the legacy of pulp fiction hero Conan the Barbarian.

Metal Legend Turned Slot Inspiration

In a new update on the NetEnt Linked In profile last night, the game studio announced that it will be revealing a duo of video slots during the 2019 ICE conference in London. The first, and more interesting of the two, is the new Ozzy Ozbourne video slot – a licensed game that will feature one of the most charismatic faces in the history of the music industry.

As the studio reveals, the so-called Prince of Darkness will join the likes of Guns N’ Roses, Motorhead, and Jimmy Hendrix as the latest rock musician whose image, iconography, and music will be used in a creative video slot game. Not much is revealed about the mechanics and features of the new slot except that a licensing agreement has already been signed between the game company and the rocker’s brand management partner. But judging from previous slots, you can expect plenty of thematic bonuses, including extras like music-packed free spins rounds.

Commenting on the announced reveal of the game, Director of Game Products at NetEnt, Bryan Upton, said that the company “can’t wait” to bring Ozzy’s “larger-than-life personality” and charisma to online casinos as part of their NetEnt Rocks family of slot games.

Conan the Barbarian – Now a NetEnt Slot

Not stopping with Ozzy, NetEnt also revealed that it will be adding yet another licensed slot machine to its portfolio this year, only a few months after announcing a slot inspired by Netflix’s Narcos series.  But this time, it will be legendary fantasy character Conan the Barbarian to get adapted to a NetEnt online slot machine.

Originating in pulp fiction magazines, the character of Conan has evolved significantly throughout the years, inspiring anything from books and comic books to TV programs, multiple films, board games, toys, and more. Naturally, the character has since grown into a strong brand with an amazing history and thousands of fans across the world – a popularity that NetEnt hopes to tap into with its new slot.

In a press release, Upton said that NetEnt is “honored” to work with the character of Conan and to give it a “hallmark NetEnt treatment”. After its release, Conan will be joining other licensed slot machines recently revealed by the NetEnt brand, including games like Jumanji and Planet of the Apes but also the upcoming Vikings slot game. Again, nothing is revealed about the features of the Conan slot except from a short animated cartoon that hints at its look.
